Fiji consists of 322 islands and 522 smaller islets. The two most important islands are Viti Levu and Vanua Levu. They are mountainous, with peaks up to 1,300 metres, and covered with thick tropical forests. Taking a boat charter in Fiji allows one to experience a culture that is a rich mosaic of indigenous, Indian, Chinese and European traditions, comprising unique language, food, craft and music. The Yasawa Islands are comprised of about 20 volcanic islands in a chain just off the northwest coast of Viti Levu. They are known for their pristine tropical white sand beaches, crystal clear water and picturesque views.
