Board your yacht in Athens and move out for passage to the bay of Soúnion then on to Kéa. On the island of Kéa, the picturesque hamlet of Vourkari has excellent restaurants, which specialise in fish based recipes including spaghetti served with lobster as well as a local version of bouillabaisse soup.

From Kéa, sail to Tinos and Mykonos. Tinos is a mountainous, rugged island, famous for its 80 or so windmills and the stunning church of Panagia Evangelistria. Mykonos is bright and breezy with fine sandy beaches by day, and alive with nightclubs and bars by night.

Today the island has something of a reputation as a party island for young revellers, but nevertheless it has some wonderful beaches including Mylopotas, Yialos, where you can go skinny dipping as well as some fascinating churches and the monastery of St John.

Set sail for Santorini, a circular archipelago of volcanic islands, the remains of a much larger island destroyed by a giant eruption during the Minoan era. The eruption is one of the largest in recorded history and is said to be the source of the legend of Atlantis. Santorini is dominated by a giant caldera that provides a deep and sheltered harbour.

Sifnos, the Island of Apolo, is a beautiful mountainous island, with fertile valleys, popular beaches and several delightful towns including the medieval village of Kastro. Located on the east side of the island, Kastro is surrounded by thick walls that protect a labyrinth of tiny streets and passageways. The bay of Vathi always provides safe anchorage.

On the penultimate day of your yacht charter through the Greek Islands, set sail to the island of Serifos. The island is famous for its charming villages and spectacular rock formations that give it some stunning landscapes. The views over the bay from the town of Chora are particularly impressive and are well worth the trip.
