Head of Social Media and Digital Communications Strategy

Location: Monaco, Fort Lauderdale OR London

The Head of Social Media and Digital Communications Strategist will work as part of the Global Marketing Team with the responsibility of developing the company’s social presence worldwide, enriching and extending the existing user online and digital experience and increasing the level of quality inbound leads to the company.

The role requires a solid and demonstrable understanding and experience of social media marketing, advertising, SEO, PPC and Adwords. The chosen candidate will be able to create and execute best practice social media campaigns that generate high engagement and increase website traffic to landing pages created for that purpose. The candidate will be able to provide meaningful analytic and ROI reporting to all relevant departments for all online and social media actions and be able to propose alternative solutions for improving and increasing user engagement.

 
 

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Primary duties:

Social Media
Set up social media strategies and campaigns for all social media content on relevant channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube, Twitter, Pinterest & Tiktok), for both paid and organic posts.

Conceive and create winning visuals for posts and advertising campaigns, including banners and basic video editing.

Provide best practise for posting, content, imagery, video and timing. Stay up to date on algorithms, tech/tricks for greater reach and engagement and adapt strategies accordingly.

Analyse all results, interpret the data and provide regular reporting to senior management on key progress (reach, engagement etc), weaknesses and strategic ideas for business development.

Write quality content with the aim of generating maximum engagement.

Plan editorial calendar across all platforms including frequency and post types.

Create "lookalike" and custom audiences, experiment and test creative campaigns and images, and research latest tools and resources throughout the social media landscape.

Online Advertising

Set up and manage PPC/Adwords campaigns, banner sponsorships, social media campaigns and other digital advertising packages for both individual yachts, departments and corporate advertising. Liaise with brokers and stay up to date with digital marketing opportunities. Examine incoming data to create & execute relevant and engaging drip marketing campaigns.

Website

Create best practise landing pages to drive clients from social media campaigns to. Measurably increase client engagement and generate more goal completions. Liaise with the external SEO agency to improve ranking, SEO and URL optimisation as well as manage all ongoing SEO development tasks and monitor campaign success.

Reporting

Report, analyse and provide regular insight on results, trends & ROI on all digital communications including social, SEO, paid advertising & website landing pages.

 

Secondary duties:

Website

Project manage and develop new and existing areas of the company websites in order to enhance the user experience, measurably increase client engagement and generate more goal completions. Work with the website developer/s to monitor, analyse and improve speed, functionality, CTA, and landing pages. Liaise with internal and external sources to create new content (including text and images). Project manage bug resolution.

Email marketing

Assist with the creation of email marketing campaigns using the CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics and Click Dimensions) for both individual yachts, departments and corporate communications in order to generate more enquiries (including strategy, content generation and automation). Experiment and test campaigns with A/B testing, heat map analysis etc. and monitor and analyse results.

Digital Sales Tools

Assist with the design and content for the creation of digital sales tools and collateral that improve the client experience with the company. Research and develop new applications for mobile devices.

Marketing Support Services

Work closely with the brokers and staff on an ad hoc basis when required for specific projects/clients. The candidate may also be required to perform other, ad hoc marketing duties which may be reasonably required.

 
 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Skills:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in marketing, with at least 3 years’ experience in social media marketing (strategy and implementation), preferably with yachting or luxury services and be able to demonstrate results of previous campaigns
  • Proven track record of growing leads and sales through social media marketing – must be able to provide references and achievements
  • Good knowledge of SEO, PPC/Adwords and digital and social media strategies to drive engagement and lead generation for the luxury market as well as applications to manage, automate and analyse them
  • Excellent copyrighting skills to English mother-tongue level
  • Experience in design, development & management of websites, landing pages and tools that give the best client experience, ranking and conversions
  • Experience working with CRM and html email programmes, preferably Microsoft Dynamics & Click Dimensions, monitoring & analytics
  • Experienced with Canva
  • Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop or Premiere Pro would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Excellent communication skills and adept at working both as a team and autonomously
  • Commercially minded – motivated by delivering results
  • Excellent ability to work under pressure, extremely well organised, able to multi-task
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards
  • Self-motivated and confidant
  • Experienced negotiator
  • Fluent English in both oral and written communications
  • Other languages would be a bonus (French, Italian, Spanish)

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years’ experience and demonstrable track record in strategising, creating & delivering social media and digital campaigns that have generated engagement, enquiries and business, either in an Agency environment or an in-house Marketing Dept preferably in the luxury sector.
BS/BA or Master’s Degree is preferable not essential.
