Just One Month to go Until the Monaco Yacht Show

M/Y MY TRUST FUND
The yachting world is gearing up for what everyone hopes will be the most successful Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) ever to be held in the principality.
This year’s show, the 24th in the history of what has become widely seen as the most important event on the superyacht calendar, will take place in and around the Port of Monaco from 24th to 27th September.     It is being billed as “the world’s largest showcase for super and megayachts afloat”, with well over 100 of the world’s most impressive yachts expected to be berthed in Port Hercules during the four day event and many more likely to be on display at anchor nearby. The number of exhibiting superyachts for sale is well up on last year’s show due to an additional 15 extra berths having been secured for this year’s event. There will also be 400 metres of additional exhibition space to accommodate more luxury yachting products and services, much of it around the brand new Monaco Yacht Club which many visitors will be discovering for the first time. Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of the Monaco Yacht Show, said: “The demand for space at MYS has been a challenge to us for more than ten years. The improving global economy and expanding demand in developing economies for exclusive products and services, including Superyachts, has had an impact on us and for Monaco also.” “Jointly with the Monaco Government, the MYS has been able to extend its show footprint for 2014, enabling us to again welcome the elite of the international Superyacht community not only to an expanded MYS but Monaco itself, the world capital of yachting.” Last year, more than 33,000 visitors attended the show, with many brokers and other exhibitors reporting that they had made a record number of leads during the event. Organisers also said that the show, which is often touted as the industry barometer, appeared to indicate that the pressure on the market was easing after a difficult few years following the financial crisis of 2008. Last year Fraser Yachts had a hugely successful show, with several luxury yachts for sale and charter on display. This year Fraser Yachts will be presenting the magnificent M/Y LADY PETRA, designed for the original owner of the Heesen shipyard, M/Y MY TRUST FUND a highly specc’d yacht designed for world cruising, M/Y CALLIOPE, a beautiful example of Dutch craftsmanship and M/Y YXT ONE, a world premier for this brand new Yacht X-Tender concept.
