M/Y Jaguar – Family Yacht Charter Holidays

MY-Jaguar-2
Welcome onboard M/Y Jaguar the newly renamed Benetti motor yacht, Four Aces, which had a re-fit in 2008 including a new interior by renowned designer Francois Zuretti. The windows were pushed back in the refit and the main salon really looks voluminous with a beautiful minimalist modern style and incredible silk white carpets. The TV pops up out of a central bar and allows 180 degree swivel so you can have a TV dinner or watch from the 12-seater extra comfy couches.
The boat is perfect for 12 guests and in fact gives you a choice of three 12-seater dining tables – one on the bridge deck, one on the sun deck and another back in the main salon. There is a mild feeling of Africa onboard and there are wild animal images and sculptures on each deck. Six impeccably clean cabins have fantastic volume, with Pullmans to give extra space or allow children to bunk up. Casey, our guide, and 1st officer onboard, from Australia says: “it is great having the extra possibilities for the cabins to allow smaller kids on the bunks and older kids to have their own rooms.”

All rooms have an impressive blue marble integrated into the bathroom design and it is also a feature of the various bars onboard. Suites have showers, and cabins have safes and fridges which is a bonus. All cabins are connected to the Kaleidescape system with 10,000 songs and movies, as well as Ipad controls for air-con. A trip to the toy cabinet will also amaze with a stunning new Mastercraft tender and stand –up jet-ski. Casey also adds: “we have 2 windsurfs, 2 paddle boards, 3 blow up kayaks to explore any inlets, bananas, wakeboards, water-skis, fishing gear and snorkel gear. But the Mastercraft is awesome” So we met the crew: Mike the chief engineer is dedicated to family yacht charters and says to me: “we love family yachting holidays. We can look after the kids while the adults can relax onboard or head to the beach for a picnic or beach restaurant.” Dean as he is known by the crew is the captain of M/Y Jaguar and has been yachting for over 20 years. He knows the Med very well especially Italy, southern France, Croatia and Greece and loves to teach watersports to guests and create a family style atmosphere onboard. David the chef is a classic nice guy, and is happy to cook whatever you like. David is a French trained chef with modern European and Asian influences and obviously popular with past charterers. Casey, Tyran and all the other crew are part of a tight team whose specialty is service. Back to the yacht itself, the master is impressive being ten metres wide with a beautiful large bed and his and hers bathrooms within a fantastic marble setting. Upfront is a gym in the observer room, which guests can use via another access. If you like to keep fit there is a weights set, a stepper and a running machine all overlooking the bow and breaking waves. Upstairs there is a great VIP room with huge wide windows, and the VIP saloon has couches, a card table and all the games including Xbox, Playstation, and karaoke machine for the perfect American family vacation.

As we climb up to the sundeck we are pleased to see a large open space decorated with blue marble and a huge Jacuzzi with wet bar. There is ample seating upfront with a BBQ and awnings for shade. Why charter Jaguar? There is a large open sundeck, a fantastic collection of watersports including the Mastercraft, a comfortable Intrepid on tow, huge voluminous cabins, a beautiful master bedroom with silk white carpets, and a fantastic and professional crew. M/Y Jaguar is targeting families and feels they are the best yacht for family yacht charters in the Caribbean.
