With 25,000 nautical miles under his belt and a further 27 years as a yacht broker, Joost’s passion for life on the water runs through everything he does.

To date and counting, Joost has completed over 135 transactions in his career, in deals totalling over 120 million Euros, for clients of 16 nationalities. Today, his ‘sweet spot’ is sailing yachts, particularly Swans, in the 18-35 metre (60-115’) size range. His sales include pedigree yachts SHAMANNA (Swan 115), SONG OF THE SEA, HIGHLAND BREEZE and FRUITION (all Swan 112’s), CONQUISTADOR (Swan 80) and DREW (Benetti 42M).

Both those clients looking to buy a yacht and those looking to sell their yacht to the right buyer turn to Joost as a trusted professional: in 60% of his sales, he represented both buyer and seller in in-house deals. Clients frequently return to Joost when they are looking to sell or upgrade to a new yacht – he has even done five deals on behalf of the same client!
