When you speak with Debra, you can tell immediately by her Southern accent that she's a native of Alabama. But don't let that fool you; she's a Steel Magnolia underneath that meticulously groomed exterior! Her involvement in yachting began in 1987 when she acted as the Special Events Coordinator for Broward Marine, a prominent South Florida shipbuilder. Besides handling the major international yacht shows, Debra's biggest project there was organizing the highly successful annual "Broward Rendezvous", which grew to be one of the yachting world's most beloved and glamorous events. Eventually Debra became a charter broker and manager, working for an independent yacht brokerage firm and her professional drive caught the attention of many more seasoned colleagues. She joined Fraser in 1997, bringing with her several prominent charter vessels into the charter fleet as well. Debra is committed to inspecting all the yachts she recommends and travels extensively year round to visit yachts and meet crew along with attending the international charter shows in Europe and the Caribbean. The personal touch that she infuses into her work is surely guided by her natural heritage of Southern hospitality. Many of her clients become close friends and the crew often find her to be a terrific sounding board and she is frequently seen making the special effort to lend advice and support to those who drop by her office. She is a member of MYBA, the Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association as well as FYBA, the Florida Yacht Brokers Association and AYCA, the American Charter Brokers Association.
