BUFFALO NICKEL (24M/78’) is an owner-operated explorer built in aluminum by Circa Marine Industries in Auckland, New Zealand. Designed by renowned sailor and multi-circumnavigator Steve Dashew, with a custom interior by Sylvia Bolton, this FPB 70 was created for safe, efficient, and comfortable long-distance cruising.

Designed for owner operation, BUFFALO NICKEL features three guest staterooms. The Owner’s Stateroom is located forward and includes a queen berth, ensuite bathroom, and adjacent office. Two additional guest staterooms are positioned aft, both with ensuite facilities.

The main deck features a light-filled salon with panoramic windows, a U-shaped galley, dining area, and central helm station. Outside, the aft deck includes a sheltered seating area and BBQ station, while the enclosed bridge deck offers panoramic views and access to a 12-panel solar array. The expansive sundeck provides additional space for relaxation, entertainment, and equipment storage.

Built to Lloyds SSC structural code and MCA Class II Pleasure Vessel standards, BUFFALO NICKEL has a 4,000-nautical-mile range at 10.1 knots. Having cruised from New Zealand to Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Alaska, and beyond, she combines proven heavy-weather capability with comfort, efficiency, and long-range autonomy.
