DIONE STAR is a 43.62M (143’) classic sailing yacht built by Scheepswerf Friesland and extensively refitted. A proven global explorer with over 15 Atlantic crossings, she has cruised the Caribbean and Mediterranean extensively. Designed by Diana Yacht Design with interiors by Bettueli & Mario Pedol, she accommodates 12 guests in 6 staterooms and offers expansive deck spaces, excellent fuel efficiency, and long-range cruising capability.

BUILT TO GO THE DISTANCE

DIONE STAR was never conceived as a yacht meant to sit in marinas or follow trends. She was built to cross oceans and carry her owners far beyond the ordinary routes of leisure sailing.

Originally launched in 1990 in the Netherlands under the name COLOMBAIO STAR, she was one of three sister yachts built at the time: COLOMBAIO SKY, COLOMBAIO STAR, and COLOMBAIO SUN, all measuring between 36 and 38 meters. Designed initially with charter in mind, they proved highly successful in their early years.

Built in the Northern European tradition where reliability outweighs spectacle, DIONE STAR has completed no fewer than 15 Atlantic crossings.

Over time, DIONE STAR evolved well beyond her original form. She was extended to 43.6 meters and upgraded with a new wheelhouse relocated to the upper deck, an aft carbon bimini, a beach club, and a larger crane capable of handling three tenders and two jet skis.

Her current Owner has cared for her for over 15 years, overseeing her maintenance with exceptional attention and commitment, improving her capability and comfort.

In 2025, she underwent a €2.2 million refit and maintenance program, including a full repaint and her special survey, being presented today in outstanding condition.
