With a skilled Finnish team utilising the latest in carbon fibre engineering for each custom vessel, Baltic’s full-custom yachts range from regatta winners to luxury cruisers. Using traditional craftsmanship, the yard focuses on making every yacht as lightweight as possible through use of various technologies, from advance composites and to lightweight timber accommodation finishes. Owners building a custom yacht at this shipyard have available to them various innovations successfully installed on previous yachts. Baltic was the first shipyard to install a Dynamic Stability System (DSS) in a large sailing yacht – a horizontal, touch-button, sliding foil that reduces heel and pitching motion and boosts speed. The Force Feedback Steering System utilises car technology to revolutionise yacht steering, and has so far been installed on 53.9M/176’ PINK GIN (2017). Hydrogeneration enables a sophisticated diesel electric propulsion and hydro-generating system that reduces the use of fossil fuel and allows long periods in ‘silent’ mode.
Baltic Yachts have produced several award-winning yachts, including 54M/176ft PINK GIN VI, the largest Carbon Composite sloop-rigged sailing yacht in the world at the time of her launch in 2017, sold by Fraser in 2023, and 44M/144’ PATH, built for long distance global cruising using all the advanced composite construction techniques available at the yard. Other award winners are PERSEVERANCE, an efficient 35.8M/117’ Custom Classic sloop from Dykstra Naval Architects, and 43.3M/142’ CANOVA, an innovative long distance cruising yacht and the very the first large yacht to feature a transverse Dynamic Stability System foil.
