Cannes yacht charter
A Cannes yacht charter hides many treasures. Cannes is a sybaritic heaven, the mecca of sun worshippers for over 150 years and further glamourised by the success of the iconic Cannes Film Festival. High in the hills you’ll find Provençal villages and views of extraordinary beauty over the shining Mediterranean Sea.
Iles de Lérins
The "Iles de Lérins" is a small archipelago off the coast of Cannes. The two main islands are Ste-Marguerite and St-Honorat. Ste-Marguerite is an exceptional island where nature, culture and relaxation join in total harmony. Just a few steps ashore and you will be captured by scents of pine and eucalyptus whilst St Honorat will enchant you with its fortress and Abbey. Anchoring by these islands also provides shelter in an ideal location for a day enjoying the water sports in the bay of Cannes.
La Napoule Bay
Yachting in the Bay of La Napoule will show you a wilder side of the French Riviera with a unique geological setting. Look up at the Esterel Mountain Massif, famous for its red cliffs. Take a look at Saint Peyre Hill and its volcanic cone that was active 250 million years ago. Saint Peyre hill was used by the Phoenicians to observe the bay and Roman presence has also been established. La Napoule offers great yachting marinas and an accessible alternative embarkation port to Cannes, especially useful the Mandelieu private jet airport just minutes away.
The great novelist Graham Greene lived in Antibes for 20 years and considered it a place which had preserved its soul. The old town of Antibes boasts one of the finest Provençal markets and the best Picasso collection in its seafront castle. The southern end of the Cap d'Antibes still has its pine woods and boasts some of the most exclusive mansions on the Riviera. Juan les Pins, just a hop away, offers beach restaurants accessible by tender and a number of night clubs as well as the famous Jazz a Juan festival held every July.
