Royal Hakvoort
Established in 1919 in Monnickendam, Holland, Royal Hakvoort Shipyard combines the traditional values of Dutch craftsmanship with the latest in cutting-edge technology to build full-custom aluminium and steel yachts up to 65M/213’ in length. In 2020, the yard was granted permission to add Royal to its name, a designation only granted to family firms with over 100 years of offering an impeccable service standard to clients.

Renowned for its custom-built superyachts, Royal Hakvoort Yachts has been family-owned for four generations, passing down knowledge and expertise over 100+ years. With facilities that include two state-of-the-art, temperature-controlled construction halls, Royal Hakvoort is equipped to handle the entire build process of steel and aluminium yachts up to 65M/213’ in length. Royal Hakvoort also has its own interior factory, 'Unlimited Interiors', plus a metal workshop, stainless steel workshop and quayside operation.

As Royal Hakvoort build only custom yachts, every launch reflects the unique vision of its Owner. Examples of Royal Hakvoort’s bespoke craftsmanship include notable vessels such as 50M/164’ Lady M II, the adventurous SCOUT, and the elegant TOP FIVE II. Each of these yachts highlight the shipyard’s capability to integrate client-specific features, advanced nautical design and technology.
The shipyard's expertise in steel dates back as far as 1946, and in 2016 it extended its own dedicated stainless steel department, enabling it to invest further in developing its in-house capabilities in steel.
Recent years have seen the launch of numerous standout and award-winning Royal Hakvoort yachts. 2024 saw the launch of ASIA, with a round bilge displacement hull offering extreme stability and operational performance in all weather conditions, plus an impressive range and fuel-efficiency.
45.2M MILELE won a World Superyacht Award in 2024, named as the best in her category of Semi-Displacement or Planing Motor Yachts and praised for her build quality and surprising spaces, most notably an innovative foredeck garage storing a custom U-Boat Worx submarine and crane, with a full entertainment suite screen built into its hatch.
In 2022, a new order was signed for a 65-metre luxury displacement motoryacht, project YN254. This will be the largest project built by Hakvoort to date sold in close cooperation with Fraser for one a very loyal repeat client.
Award-winning 63.7M/209’ SCOUT made a significant mark in the yachting world upon her launch in 2019, featuring a helideck, Ice Class hull and unique underwater-inspired interior. 39M SNOWBIRD is fun, inviting, intimate and capable, with an exceptionally effective general arrangement and an award-shortlisted design.
With a well-established worldwide reputation, Hakvoort vessels have continually improved in both aesthetic and technical qualities over the years, garnering numerous yachting awards across various categories.
