Lipari yacht charter

The Geography of Lipari

Located just off the north coast of Sicily, Lipari is the largest of the Aeolian Islands (so-called because of the gusty winds) in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Part of a chain of islands in a volcanic archipelago that straddles Vesuvius and Etna, Lipari measures 38 square kilometres and easily visited from your charter yacht.

Thermal Spas, Beautiful Scenery and Amazing Beaches

Lipari will welcome you with beautiful scenery, volcanoes, castles, thermal resorts, water sports, good fishing and great beaches.
Apart from its capital of the same name, Lipari has four other towns that hold the majority of the island’s inhabitants: Pianoconte, Quattropani, Acquacalda and Canneto. Its coastline is characterised by steep cliffs, deep caverns and white and black beaches. Easily accessible from Sicily it lies just 30 km north of the island and is considered to be a top yacht charter destination.

The Town and Harbour of Lipari

The town of Lipari and its friendly restaurants is a must on any Italian yacht charter itinerary. Not only is it the most populated but as the main harbour on the island it boasts the best bars, restaurants and shops just waiting to be explored by those on a Lipari yacht charter.

Signs of a Volcanic Past

Due to its volcanic past Lipari’s black and white beaches strewn along its coastline are distinctive features of the island where fishing and water sports are possible. Further inland the rugged terrain provides hikers with a challenging day’s walk, with thermal springs dotted here and there to provide welcome breaks.
