Understanding the market so you can reap the rewards

We have been sharing our thoughts on this for almost a year.

Now the 2020 yachting data is in.

And we were right.

There has never been a better time to own your own yacht.

And more people realised that in 2020 than any other year since our industry records began back in 2009.

More than 490 yachts (24m/79’ and over) were sold in 2020. Up +18.2% on 2019 and +39.8% on the average for the last 12 years. The total value of those sales was up +32.8% on the 12-year average, with the average value of yacht sold 7.2m€, consistent with the last 3 years.

Yachts and yachting are responding to a human need like never before.

The opportunity they open for all of us to capture quality time together, with those we care for, away from the stresses of day-to-day life, in a controllable, safe environment is unparalleled. The chances they offer us to re-engage with the natural world we share have never meant more, or given more, than they do today.

The FRASER INSIGHTS & INDICATORS REPORT examines the dynamic shifts in 2020 and what they mean for the market in 2021 for both buyers and sellers.

Based on in-depth data compiled from multiple sources by Fraser's inhouse Central Intelligence Department (CID), this Yachting Brokerage Report shares the trends and demand that will help you better navigate your way to finding your perfect yacht at the right price - or the right buyer at the right time.
