The idea behind Alloy Yachts began in New Zealand in the early 1980s when a group of boat builders came together with the ambitious project to build an aluminium yacht that was 28 metres long. Within two years the shipyard was formed and built a large number of high-quality sailing yachts before it closed in 2016. All its sailing and motor yachts are based around its core principles which are craftsmanship, engineering excellence and seaworthiness. These values, coupled with the company’s passion for the yachts that they built saw Alloy Yachts become internationally recognised and many of their luxury sailing yachts have won awards for their design, quality and innovation.
A crucial factor in the success of Alloy Yachts lies in the fact that many of the original team from the very first project, completed in 1985, stayed as key members throughout the company's history. The late Tony Hambrook, who started out as the production manager, played an extremely significant role in the expansion of the company since his promotion to managing director in 1989 and helped to maintain the company’s core values whilst driving it forward. Alloy Yachts’ quality and reliability means that it are trusted the world over by yacht Owners, Captains and crew alike.
Fraser has represented several luxury sailing yachts for sale from Alloy Yachts as well as for charter. Alloy Yachts’ vessels are known for their craftsmanship and seaworthiness, and a great example of this can be seen in the 52m luxury sailing yacht PRANA, which was built in 2016 in collaboration with Dubois Naval Architects. PRANA is one of the most attractive and performing large sailing yachts in operation today. The life on board is luxurious and very spacious; each stateroom has been equipped with extra large hull windows allowing the guests to enjoy the sea life in total comfort. Built to Lloyd’s and MCA class she accommodates 10 guests in exquisite comfort.
