Seychelles: The Year Round Charter Destination

Seychelles
The Seychelles are a collection of 115 islands that are scattered in the Indian Ocean about 900 miles south of Africa. For many, the region is pretty close to paradise on earth and the islands have become very popular for clients on luxury yacht charters. The Seychelles boast swathes of unspoiled sandy beaches, emerald blue sea and a wonderful collection of some of the last remaining ecological wonders on the earth.
Another huge plus for people considering the Seychelles as a luxury yacht charters destination is its wonderful climate. The islands lie just south of the Equator and benefit from a tropical climate which bathes the region in warm and pleasant weather pretty much all year round So, unlike some charter destinations such as the Caribbean for example - where it is advisable not to visit the region at various times of the year due to hurricanes - the Seychelles can be explored throughout the year. Guests on Seychelles yacht charter will soon discover that the weather amongst the islands is nearly always warm and without extremes. Here, temperatures rarely drop below 24C or rises above 32C, making it the perfect place to visit.
Sailing through the clear crystal waters and stopping in bays for a swim, you will rarely find yourself feeling uncomfortably hot. Nor will those on Seychelles yacht charter ever feel too cold on board their yacht when the sun goes down in the evenings. In the Seychelles, it’s pretty perfect all of the time. Only the remotest southern islands lie within the cyclone belt, and these should be avoided during the months of December to March. Weather conditions are particularly perfect for most of the Seychelles between October and March, when the sea is generally very calm and the weather warm and humid, with average winds of 8-12 knots. Meanwhile between May and September the weather is slightly drier and cooler, with livelier seas for those on board who like some exhilarating sails. During these months the winds can whip up to more than 20 knots, so weary sailors should take heed. The wettest months are January and February, with some islands being more prone to downpours than others.
