Round up review of the Monaco Yacht Show 2019

Every year the Monaco Yacht Show exhibits 125+ superyachts from the world’s most respected shipyards. It has become one of the leading superyacht events in the calendar for the yachting industry and buyers alike. As always, the Monaco Yacht Show is by far the single largest mobilisation of Fraser personnel in our business year. Over 100 Fraser staff and specialists from 20 offices worldwide were in attendance for our largest yacht display ever.

mys 2019 review

Fraser represented over €1,055 billion worth of listings at this year’s Show – 18 yachts (seven in show and 11 at anchor) averaging 60m (197’) in length and an average asking of €59m – no less than four of which are brand new to our sales fleet, the largest sales fleet above 24m (79’) in the world today.

Our teams took good care of over 300 qualified visitors to our yachts which included respectively, both the largest Amels in Show and the newest yacht in her size range, the extraordinary 83m (272’) HERE COMES THE SUN (also available for charter with Fraser) and fresh from her July launch the 67.6m (221’) AURORA BOREALIS.

ALL ABOUT U2, the 50m (164’) sailing yacht by Ada Yacht Works, the newest and best priced (per GT) sailing yacht in show and with the longest sailing yacht range of any, attracted a lot of interest from potential buyers impressed by her incredible volume, as well as hosting a number of key Fraser partner events.

Over four days, our Fraser teams conducted over 20 interviews, appeared as panelists on two Summits, hosted seven events with numerous partners and media including our Annual Captains Soiree in the Yacht Club of Monaco with over 500 invitees and two award-winning Captains and two winning crews…and when it comes to the logistics of looking after so many clients, each Fraser broker covered over 17,000 steps per day.

In what is already a record-breaking year for Fraser, we closed two in-house sales and announced three new build projects the day before the show and, on the Monday after the show, announced yet another in-house sale with our Hong Kong office.

As we said at our Captains Soiree – it has been an amazing year for Fraser, our teams and our clients…and it is not over yet!

With the Monaco Yacht Show 2019 now over, the busy boat show season continues for Fraser with upcoming events including the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show coming up from 30 October to 3 November 2019.
